Ositis WinProxy is a caching proxy server for Windows 9x and NT platforms; it is very similar to Wingate but has a number of differences. The main advantage of Winproxy is a flexible system of filtering incoming traffic which allows effective screening of the following website categories: sex, pornography, drugs, crime, violence, etc. The built-in Smartfilter technology ensures high performance of Winproxy. This is due to the large embedded database of «black addresses».
Below you will find step-by-step configuration instructions to ensure correct operation of WM Keeper. In addition to WinProxy users, users of other proxy software that support mapped ports may find this information helpful. To get WM working with Ositis WinProxy you will have to carry out the following:
- Add an outgoing mapped port with the following settings:
- Mapped Port Name: WBOUT (for example)
- Proxy Port: 2802
- Destination: 212.158.173.6
- Destination Port: 2802
- Mapped Port Type: TCP
- Mapped Port Direction: Outgoing
- Add an incoming mapped port with the following settings:
- Mapped Port Name: WBOUT (for example)
- Proxy Port: 2802
- Destination: 212.158.173.6
- Destination Port: 2802
- Mapped Port Type: TCP
- Mapped Port Direction: Incoming
- Add a line in the host file: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx wmsc.webmoney.ruwhere xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP-address of your WinProxy server, and wmsc.webmoney.ru is the name of the verification server.
